Gasoline, diesel prices at pumps to rise this week

Gasoline prices in Taiwan will rise by NT$0.8 per liter and diesel prices by NT$0.9 per liter this week, following a previous decrease. The increase is attributed to rising international crude oil prices due to political turmoil in Iran. Effective today, new prices for gasoline will be NT$27.2, NT$28.7, and NT$30.7 per liter for 92, 95, and 98-octane unleaded gasoline, respectively. Premium diesel will cost NT$25.7 at CPC stations and NT$25.5 at Formosa pumps. Brent crude oil futures rose 1.25% to US$64.13 per barrel last week.
