    Chairman of China Coal Energy's power unit under investigation, local authority says

    Li Hui, chairman of the power unit under China Coal Energy , is under investigation for suspected serious disciplinary and legal violations, a local anti-graft watchdog said on Wednesday.The probes are being conducted by the discipline inspection commission of China Coal Energy and authorities in the eastern Chinese city of Chizhou, according to a statement on the Anhui provincial anti-graft watchdog's WeChat account.

    China Coal Energy announced that in October this year, the output of commercial coal was 11.44 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 0.9%; the sales volume of commercial coal was 21.88 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 12.8%.     China Coal Energy Reports 0.9% Rise in October Commercial Coal Production

    China Coal Energy reported a 0.9% increase in October 2025 commercial coal production to 11.44 million tonnes compared to October 2024. Year-to-date production decreased by 0.6% to 113.02 million tonnes. October sales dropped 12.8% to 21.88 million tonnes, while year-to-date sales fell 8.0% to 212.24 million tonnes. Sales of self-produced coal rose 4.5% in October and 1.4% year-to-date. The company attributes variations to macroeconomic policies, market conditions, and operational factors.
