Aspeed Technology, the Taiwan chip designer, is working with Lattice Semiconductor (US) on its first-ever Server Management Companion (SMC) chip in a bid for more silicon wins in AI servers, media report, noting AI data centers are becoming so complex that the server management chips Aspeed specializes in now are no longer enough.
