Samsung actively localizing their mask blank supply chain, as they aim to reduce reliance on Japan's #Hoya ($7741)
Korea's S&S Tech ($101490) is poised to be a big winner here, and likely has the knowledge to be successful as the CEO/Founder comes from a strong Photomask pedigree. The next shoe to drop could be photomask manufacturers. It stands to reason Samsung will be equally motivated to reduce reliance on $Photronics(PLAB.US) in the US, and #Toppan ($7911) and #DNP ($7912) in Japan for their photomasks. Also potentially positive for Lasertec ($6920) who sells the mask blank equipment to S&S Tech.Source: Chips & Wafers
