I am currently holding HOOD with an unrealized loss of over 45 percent. It has been a tough position and made me rethink what I was actually trading.
I noticed HOOD moves more with market activity and retail sentiment than fundamentals. When crypto and trading activity were strong, it performed better. As the market became quieter, the weakness showed clearly in my PnL.
This trade taught me that timing and market environment matter a lot for this type of stock. Still holding and continuing to observe.
