🔑 Key Event: September PPI rose 6.3% against 5.3% expected, the monthly print 1.3% against 0.5%. Citi now sees a December hike and UBS a third in March. Yet the Dow rose 1.1% and the 10-year yield fell 7 basis points.

• $Taiwan Semiconductor(TSM.US) → raised full-year dollar revenue growth to about 44% and said demand exceeds supply, yet fell -1.8%.
• $Intel(INTC.US) → -2.8%, down as much as 8% intraday, after a fatal explosion at its Israeli Fab 38 plant killed two workers.
• $Tesla(TSLA.US) → -1.3% before a Roadster reveal that flew, drove upside down and hit 60mph in under a second.

🇸🇬 Singapore — Exports Blow Past Every Forecast

🔑 Key Event: September non-oil domestic exports jumped 68.4%, more than double the 32.2% forecast, with electronics up 107.6%. $FTSE Straits Times Index(STI.SG) is up about +0.8% near 5,446 after Thursday's -0.4% close. A sixth straight month of export growth above 20%.

@koolgal : The STI ETF is the quintessential defensive workhorse of the Singapore economy, and lately the index has had a sharp reality check.

• The banks → $DBS(D05.SG) about +0.9%, $UOB(U11.SG) +0.8% and $OCBC Bank(O39.SG) +0.7% this morning.
• S-REITs → $Lion-phillip S-Reit(CLR.SG) is back near 0.753, just above the 0.748 low it set yesterday.

@Fattycat : I believe S-REITs are oversold; they do not deserve this pressure since they are backed by real, income-producing assets.

🇭🇰 HK/China — Hang Seng Wins Back Yesterday's Losses

🔑 Key Event: $Hang Seng Index(00HSI.HK) is up about +1.2% near 24,352 this morning, after Thursday's -1.03% close at 24,062. $BABA-W(09988.HK) is about +3.4%, $ZJ INNOLIGHT(03308.HK) +2.7% and $TENCENT(00700.HK) +1.3%.

🌍 Other to Watch

• 🇰🇷 Korea's KOSPI fell -7.6%, its tenth circuit breaker this year, with Hynix -11% and Samsung -9.5%.
• 🛢️ The IEA agreed to release its remaining 100 million barrels, while Iran says Hormuz is shut without its coordination.
• 🏦 Bowman, Goolsbee and Daly all said there is no rush to hike, even with data this hot.
