Newly-launched 3x Long DLCs on AEM, UMS, IFAST Now Available

Societe Generale (SG) has launched new 3x Long DLCs on $AEM SGD(AWX.SG)  ,$UMS(558.SG)  , and $iFAST(AIY.SG) that have started trading on 21 October.

This expands SG's DLC offering beyond the benchmark STI constituent stocks to the next 50 large and liquid companies listed on the SGX Mainboard.

In addition to the magnified 3x daily leveraged exposure, the DLCs enable investors to gain exposure to these Singapore Next50 constituents with a lower capital outlay and lower transaction costs as opposed to buying the underlying shares itself.

For example:

✅ Lower Capital Outlay: Investors looking to gain SGD 12,000 investment exposure to AEM could buy SGD 12,000 worth of its shares or they could purchase SGD 4,000 worth of the 3x Long DLC to gain the equivalent notional exposure of SGD 12,000 to the AEM shares due to the fixed 3 times daily leveraged inbuilt into the DLC.

✅ Lower Transaction costs: Following the example above, as the investor would only be charged transaction costs based on the SGD 4,000 used to purchase the DLCs and it is worth noting that SGX trading and clearing fees on the DLCs are 8 times cheaper at 0.005% as compared to 0.04% for Singapore shares.

Investors who remain bullish on these underlying stocks and expect a rebound may consider the new 3x Long DLCs to express their short-term views and gain amplified exposure. There are currently no 3x Short DLCs available on these three stocks.

As 3x Long DLCs magnify both gains and losses, investors should exercise appropriate risk management when trading these products.
