🏆 BYD Sets New Global EV Benchmarks! 🚗🔋
BYD continues to lead the global shift to electric transport and posting impressive numbers across both passenger and commercial vehicles.
Below is the key highlights from BYD Global Electric Vehicle Sales Milestones:
📈 Over 300,000 Pure EVs in One Month
In October 2026, BYD delivered a total of 490,168 new energy vehicles. Pure electric sales rose 37.38 % from a year ago to 305,743 units, crossing the 300,000 monthly mark for the first time.
Pure EVs make up 63.28 % of all passenger sales now.
🌎 Outpacing Major Markets
In a remarkable comparison, BYD sold more pure electric passenger cars in October more than the entire United States market sold in the whole third quarter (~262,500 units).
🌐 Growing Strongly Overseas
BYD also exported 170,194 new energy vehicles in October. That brings total overseas sales past 1.5 million units in the first 10 months of the year.
🔋 Leading in EV Batteries Too
With its in‑house Blade Battery technology, BYD held a 15.2 % share of the global EV battery market from January through September 2026.
🚌 Reaching Milestones in the UK
BYD built its 3,000th electric bus for the UK market. It also launched the new C12 DUO electric coach which can travel up to 340 miles or 547 km on a single charge.
