$XPeng(XPEV.US) showed completely different readings in the two markets: the US stock side basically didn't move, while the Hong Kong stock side fell by more than three percent.
For the same company and the same day's fundamentals, the price difference stems from the holder structure—the Hong Kong side absorbs Southbound capital's immediate reaction to domestic sales data, while the US side's pricing anchor leans more towards overseas institutions' medium-term expectations for global EV demand, so its reaction rhythm is inherently half a beat slower.
The other stocks in the Hong Kong market each have their own engines: $BYD COMPANY(01211.HK) basically didn't move, $GEELY AUTO(00175.HK) saw a slight drop, and $SERES(09927.HK) fell by more than three percent. The pressure on $SERES(09927.HK) mainly lies in the ramp-up of new model deliveries, which is not the same as the sales metrics for $XPeng(XPEV.US).
When the same sector spans two regions, don't directly interpret the price difference as one side being wrong; first check if both sides are pricing the same thing.
