Rio Tinto's full-year net profit exceeded expectations, and it is expected to expand capital expenditures this year

Rio Tinto's total iron ore revenue for the full year is USD 29.34 billion.

The full-year underlying profit is USD 10.9 billion, with analysts expecting USD 11 billion.

The full-year underlying EBITDA is USD 23.3 billion, with analysts expecting USD 23.78 billion.

The full-year net profit is USD 11.55 billion, with analysts expecting USD 10.97 billion.

The full-year capital expenditure is USD 9.62 billion.

The year-end dividend is USD 2.25 per share, down from USD 2.58 the previous year.

The forecast for alumina production in the fiscal year 2025 remains unchanged at 7.4 million to 7.8 million tons.

It is still expected that capital expenditure for the fiscal year 2025 will be approximately USD 11 billion, with exploration and evaluation expenditure expected to be around USD 1 billion.

Sam Laidlaw will resign from the board, and Sharon Thorne will serve as the senior independent director
