Rio Tinto will invest $1.8 billion to expand its iron ore project in Western Australia

Rio Tinto will invest $1.8 billion to develop the Brockman Syncline 1 iron ore project to extend the mining life of this project located in the West Pilbara region of Western Australia. The project has now been approved; the first batch of ore is planned to be mined in 2027, previously expected in 2028
