$Nike(NKE.US)

Background:

Nike’s turnaround is still weak: Q1 FY27 revenue fell 4%, China sales fell 26%, and Nike now expects FY27 revenue to decline high-single digits.

My trade:

Bought at an average cost of $57.57.

Takeaway:

Sell / exit on strength. I wouldn’t keep holding just to recover the $57.57 cost. The turnaround may take until FY28, and there are better places for your capital. will sell it off when the price rebounds a little bit. so disappointing

$Alphabet(GOOGL.US)

Background:

Alphabet has strong growth from Search, Google Cloud and AI/Gemini. Cloud is growing rapidly, but very high AI capex is the main risk.

My trade:

Bought at an average cost of $345.

Takeaway:

Hold. $345 is a reasonable long-term entry. Watch Cloud growth, Search resilience and AI capex/returns. Will buy more if the price drops below 320.

$Sembcorp Ind(U96.SG)

Background:

Sembcorp’s earnings are supported by Singapore power demand, data-centre growth and its expanded renewable-energy business after acquiring Alinta Energy. Near-term earnings may improve in 2H2026.

My trade: Bought at an average cost of S$5.72

Takeaway:

My entry is a bit high. I’d hold for 2–3 years, with S$6.50–7.00 as a potential medium-term range if earnings and Alinta integration progress well. Main risks are leverage and weaker power/renewables margins.

$Microsoft(MSFT.US)

Background: Microsoft rose 4% last Friday and crashed through the resistance lines finally.

My trade: At $397, I'm not buying Microsoft as a cheap value stock. I'm paying for continued Azure/AI growth and the strength of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

Takeaway: I would hold the $397 position and let it compound.

The entry is good enough that I wouldn't be eager to sell simply because MSFT has already recovered. The target price is $600.

$Meta Platforms(META.US)

Context: Muse, Meta's AI assistant launched on Sept. 8. Its early adoption has been strong, and investors are increasingly looking at AI as a potential new revenue stream rather than simply a cost. Reuters reported that Muse had reached 2.8M downloads in its first 12 days.

My trade: I regret didn't buy more when the price was low.

Takeaway: Do buy good companies when they are low and keep on holding. Though Muse could be caught up by other AIs quickly.

$NVIDIA(NVDA.US)

Background: Nvidia guided Q3 revenue to US$108B ±2%, and management gave an initial indication that FY2028 revenue could grow around 70% YoY. Management also said supply is expected to remain a bottleneck through FY2028, which suggests demand is still exceeding available capacity.

My trade: Don't judge Nvidia by the share price alone. Judge whether earnings growth is still supporting the valuation.

At $215, I have considerably more margin for error than someone buying after a major AI-driven rally.

Takeaway: HOLD, don't panic over volatility, and don't rush to take profit. The latest numbers still show a company growing at an extraordinary rate, although the margin compression and enormous expectations mean future returns are unlikely to be as effortless as they were during the earlier AI boom.

$Meta Platforms(META.US)

Background: The biggest issue for investors is AI capex. Meta now expects $130–145B of 2026 capex.

My trade: $550 entry is actually relatively comfortable because it's already above the cost and Meta's underlying advertising engine remains strong.

Takeaway: I would HOLD META. The biggest risk isn't that Meta's core business suddenly disappears. It's that AI spending stays enormous without generating enough incremental revenue/profit, causing margins and free cash flow to remain depressed. Q2 already demonstrated this risk.

$Nike(NKE.US)

Background:

Nike is currently in a deep turnaround phase rather than a normal growth phase. FY2026 revenue fell about 2% to $46.4B, and the stock closed at $35.78 on Sept. 16, 2026, more than 50% below its 52-week high.

My trade:

suffering from about 40% loss, I wouldn't average down aggressively yet. My entry isn't catastrophic for a company like Nike because the brand, global distribution and balance sheet remain substantial assets—but the problem is that the turnaround may take several years, and the stock can remain depressed while earnings recover.

Takeaway:

I would HOLD the existing Nike shares, but I would not add heavily yet.

The $57.57 cost basis is high relative to today's price, but selling at ~$36 would crystallize a very large loss just as Nike is attempting a turnaround.

$Alphabet(GOOGL.US)

Context: I actually think the Cloud/AI numbers are more important than the temporary cash-flow hit. Google has a US$514B Cloud backlog, and its TPU business is becoming another potential AI revenue stream.

My trade: I am constantly adding a little bit more when the price below 330.

Takeaway:

GOOGL is one of my top preferred mega-cap AI plays at current levels. The interesting thing is that you're not paying purely for an AI story—you get Search, YouTube, Cloud, Gemini, TPUs and Waymo underneath it.

The biggest risk is not that Google suddenly becomes a bad company. It's that Alphabet spends so aggressively on AI that the return on that enormous capex disappoints investors.

Context: Analyst target‑price range varies across brokers, with near‑term pressure from power‑spread volatility and acquisition‑related debt, long‑term support from renewable‑energy assets and power‑purchase agreements, dividend‑policy adjustments in recent interim results.

My trade: Bought Sembcorp shares at an average cost of SGD 5.752. Have more in other accounts. other than banks, this is my biggest holding.

Takeaway: Multiple brokers have mixed‑to‑constructive outlooks with varying price targets; monitor 2H earnings from acquired assets, power‑market spreads, and dividend updates. My target price is at 7. Will start to sell by then.

Takeaway: HOLD, I won't add aggressively. The average is already below the current market area and gives a reasonable margin of safety. If Sembcorp falls toward S$5.50–5.60 without a fundamental deterioration, I'd be more interested in adding. If it reaches S$6.80–7.30, I'd start considering taking some profit rather than waiting indefinitely for an even higher price.

Sembcorp benefits from Singapore’s energy‑transition plans, renewable‑energy growth and stable utility cash flows, but is exposed to commodity price swings, interest‑rate risks and construction‑project delays.

My trade:

I hold Sembcorp Industries with an average cost of SGD 5.862 per share.

Takeaway:

Sembcorp has defensive utility‑style cash flow plus renewable‑growth upside, but it is sensitive to interest rates and macro conditions. I should watch its quarterly earnings, dividend policy and long‑term energy‑transition progress; always manage position size and be prepared for share‑price volatility.

Context:

The AI infrastructure story therefore remains intact. Dell's latest results are also a good external confirmation: its AI-server orders are booming, and those servers heavily use NVIDIA GPUs.

My trade:

I would HOLD / ACCUMULATE on meaningful dips, rather than chase at $220+.

Takeaway:

NVDA remains one of my strongest long-term AI holdings, but I wouldn't aggressively buy at $217.

My preferred strategy is to hold existing shares → add around $200–205 → add more around $185–190 → aggressively add below $170.
