Optoelectronics names "ran up" yesterday, I used the inverted commas because in reality, they have fallen a distance away from their all time highs. Swing trade momentum is still relatively high, as seen in the +/- 5% in these stocks.

Qualcomm, Corning, Intel, SpaceX shares increases.

Straits Times and Local Bank shares decreases.

Lenovo Group shares rebounded.

Long Sys and Xiaomi lowers.

But for Bank of Japan to raise rates to 1.25%.

Though there are high and low for companies, wonder on Bank of Japan’s raise rates will increases its revenue or decrease bankers or able to earn income.

Looks like an ongoing rotation by the market as capital flows from the big defensive stalwarts of tech etc to the higher betas tech which to be fair looks good value.

Looks like a pretty textbook rotation from defensive tech and big caps back to high beta smaller cap techs as well as those clearly benefitting from the AI buildout.

Folderable phone is a niche area, the adoption is not so high so I wouldn’t see it as the next thing…

The probability of rate hikes is indeed rising, but Trump's public comments have mixed effects. The greater momentum lies within the market itself. It seems Warsh is being clever: 'Don't look at me for whether it goes up or down; I'm not taking the blame for this.'

Obviously, there is still time until fed decision next week. The probability of a hike this meeting is still very much borderline. Inflationary pressure is real, but I'm still bullish. I think the rate hikes may not come until 2027. I'm optimistic we see some good news in the remaining of 2026 that could curb rate hikes possibilities. Just my opinion.
