Daily Events

  1. Oct, 22

HP Inc. closed at $33.79, up about 7.9% from the prior $31.32 close, after dipping to $30.50 pre-market and then trending single-directionally higher from the $31.24 open to a $33.835 intraday peak, with post-market trading extending to $33.88. The rebound traced to Super Micro's earnings easing AI hardware financing concerns and lifting peers, alongside HP locking memory supply contracts through 2031 and Infinity's 2x performance gain on Nvidia's GB300 platform. Q3 2026 revenue rose 12.53% YoY to $15.677bn, yet net profit fell 13.37% to $661m and EPS slipped 11.25% to $0.71, showing revenue growth did not flow through to earnings. The stock is up 52.76% YTD, above its 20-day average of $31.27 and 60-day $30.94, still 6.72% below the 52-week high of $36.225, with a PE near 12.4. Omdia, though, expects the PC market to fall 24% in 2026.

  2. Oct, 9

HP shares fell 6.9% to $30.195 on Oct 9 in a low-open, low-close session, sliding from a $31.22 open to an intraday low of $29.92 before settling at $30.18 after hours, after Omdia reported global Q3 PC shipments dropped roughly 20% to 21% year over year as pull-forward demand faded and higher prices weighed on purchases. Fundamentals cut the other way: fiscal Q3 2026 revenue rose 12.53% to $15.677B, yet net profit fell 13.37% to $661M, EPS slipped 11.25% to $0.71 and net margin was just 4.22%. The close sat below the 20-day average of $32.243 and near the 60-day $30.177, 16.65% under the Sept 11 52-week high of $36.225, though it is still up 36.51% year to date. HP is meanwhile extending local AI from GB300 workstations to RTX Spark Windows PCs, though whether AI-driven replacements can offset weaker traditional PC demand remains unproven.

  3. Sep, 21

HPQ plunged 5.01% to $32.675 in regular trading, driven by the company's failure to provide financial guidance for fiscal 2027 during its investor day and a warning of contraction in PC market volumes. The stock touched an intraday low of $32.310 in pre-market and recovered to a high of $34.87 before sliding, marking a 7.4% range for the session. Q3 revenue rose 12.5% YoY to $15.677B but EPS fell 11.25% to $0.71, while net margin stayed thin at 4.22% and negative ROE persists. Though the stock sits 9.8% below the 52-week high of $36.225, it remains up 47.72% YTD and near the 20-day MA of $32.036.

  4. Sep, 17

HPQ experienced a strong rally today, reaching an intraday high of $34.812 before closing at $34.65, up approximately 5.96%, driven primarily by recent positive AI PC outlook and an upgraded earnings guidance. The company raised its outlook due to robust AI PC demand and tariff refunds, with Q3 revenue growing 12.53% YoY to $15.677 billion, though net profit fell 13.37% YoY to $661 million and net margin was only 4.22%. The stock now sits 4.35% below its 52-week high of $36.225, up 56.65% year-to-date, well above its 60-day MA of $27.893, while the P/E ratio remains modest at 12.75x.

  5. Sep, 14

HPQ closed the regular session down 4.1% at $34.02, retreating 6.09% from its 52-week high of $36.225 on Sep 11, yet rebounded slightly to $34.17 in post-market trading. The session traced an intraday reversal: after hitting a high of $35.26 in pre-market, the stock opened lower and extended losses to an intraday low of $33.58, a range of 4.4%. Profit-taking after recent outsized gains was the primary drag—the stock surged 8.25% on Sep 11 and 7.07% on Sep 9, bringing its YTD advance to 53.8%, far outpacing the S&P 500. Fundamental support remains intact: Q3 revenue rose 12.53% YoY to $15.677 billion, with net income at $661 million, though EPS slipped 11.25% YoY to $0.71. Recent partnerships with Nvidia and Red Hat on an enterprise AI inference platform continue to buoy sentiment. However, the 0.44% post-market bounce to $34.17 suggests some buyers remain willing to step in on the dip.

Taiwan’s 3 big PC motherboard makers plan to raise prices again – 5% to 10% – in the 4th quarter, media report, adding Asustek, Micro-Star (MSI) and Gigabyte all saw shipment momentum rebound due to improving CPU supplies (Intel Arrow Lake and AMD Ryzen 9000) and a recovery in PC client inventory replenishment. The impending price increases, coupled with a double digit increase earlier this year, are expected to lead to a 30% full-year drop in PC motherboard shipments in 2026. $Intel(INTC.US) $AMD(AMD.US) $Dell Tech(DELL.US) $HP(HPQ.US) #Lenovo #Asustek #MSI #Gigabyte

$Alphabet(GOOGL.US) is now discussing deals to extend their memory LTAs through 2035 from KeyBanc channel checks.

Samsung already has 70% of their capacity allocated through 2031, and this move would suggest a more durable cycle for $Micron Tech(MU.US), $SK Hynix(SKHY.US), and the others.

They also expect HBM prices up 80% to 100% in the Q1 2027.

Having all your capacity potentially allocated out into 2035 via LTAs would ease a lot of memory durability fears.
