Rumor: Thailand and Vietnam could be hurt worst as big notebook PC brands turn back to China for mass production, media report, saying Southeast Asia turned out to be too costly for laptop production and US tariffs have not had as big an impact as feared.

Taiwanese suppliers relocated production lines to Southeast Asia amid tariffs and client requests to move production outside of the Red Supply Chain (Communist nations (China)).

But assembling a laptop in Southeast Asia costs US$9 more per unit than in China, which seems small but is most of the assembly cost.

Pressure from local governments in China for Taiwan companies to make good on promises made in return for past subsidies are also a factor. After factories moved, their tax revenues plunged. $Dell Tech(DELL.US) $HP(HPQ.US) $Apple(AAPL.US) #Wistron #Compal

Please ask Grok to look up information online about the cooling performance of DGX Spark. Although the chip and memory are identical, cooling is crucial for long-term use. Every brand has its own cooling strategy, so there will be significant differences in temperature comparisons. What surprised me was that Acer topped the list? I haven't considered buying a laptop or PC from Acer for over ten years... This cooling ranking really caught me off guard:

Supply chain signals have been disrupted and are causing anxiety about the peak season 3rd quarter media report, noting this year seems “volatile and treacherous” due to price hikes, shortages of key components – including memory, demand for early delivery by end clients (pull-in), and less predictable consumer demand. The biggest factor is strong 1st & 2nd quarter demand – and hoarding – by consumer electronics firms, which could slow in the 2nd half. Order visibility through end-2026 and 1st half 2027 will be a key sign to watch. $Apple(AAPL.US) $Dell Tech(DELL.US) $HP(HPQ.US) $Hewlett Packard Enterprise(HPE.US) #semiconductors

    Just a thought…

Maybe don’t hire a $Nike(NKE.US) “veteran” to lead the $Lululemon(LULU.US) brand revival?

It’s the equivalent of PayPal hiring the former HP CEO.

    I’m just speechless.

$HP(HPQ.US) longer the base, higher in space? No one knows but getting a good start today with the gap up. None in trade account bought it yesterday for my investment/spec/gamble account.
