    $Marvell Tech(MRVL.US)

POST for 15/9 (Out of desk)

1️⃣ After my last MRVL purchase on early July at higher price, the stock came under pressure as investors reassessed AI infrastructure spending expectations, valuation levels and customer concentration risks. Converns about the pace of hyperacaler demand and future customer chip wins led to a sharp pullback in semis names, including MRVL.

2️⃣ I sold 3 positions this day to limit further downside risk and reallocate capital. Although the long term AI story remained intact, the stock had broken lower from my cost basis and uncertainly around growth expectations, valuation and customer exposure increased. Preserving capital became the priority.

3️⃣ Near term outlook, MRVL remains leveraged to AI networking and customer silicon demand. If management continues to deliver AI related growth and secures additional hyper scale customers, the stock could recover further. However volatility is likely to remain high as investors watch margins and customer concentration, and AI spending trends closely. Overall the outlook is cautiously positive but dependent on execution and upcoming earnings.

The probability of rate hikes is indeed rising, but Trump's public comments have mixed effects. The greater momentum lies within the market itself. It seems Warsh is being clever: 'Don't look at me for whether it goes up or down; I'm not taking the blame for this.'

Obviously, there is still time until fed decision next week. The probability of a hike this meeting is still very much borderline. Inflationary pressure is real, but I'm still bullish. I think the rate hikes may not come until 2027. I'm optimistic we see some good news in the remaining of 2026 that could curb rate hikes possibilities. Just my opinion.

Memory chip stocks are going up again because of tighter HBM supply. Although the limited supply relative to demand is real, I have observed the stock market is often irrational and price movements can change direction suddenly for any reason. Sizing and risk management are important.

The US economy is powering on and now the markets must figure out if that is going to support them going forward. Inflation figures will be key.

Nice rotation going on. As markets try to read a strong labour market and its effects, capital flows back into sold down AI tech beneficiaries of power, memory and networking ilk.

Quiet day for the US markets. All eyes on the US CPI reading later this week which I think would more or less decide the interest rate decision for the next Fed mtg. Until then the market is likely to move sideways I think.

what an interesting ride beginning the Jackson hole, Waller remarks, jobs report and DT's tweet about needing lower rates. Anyone who adjusts positions based solely on such news will be in for a ride. Know your objective and stay your course.

Guidance raises off actual bookings are a different animal from a stock just being up. Ciena's Q3 revenue was already +37% and data center is now 79% of the book, so this isn't a story that needs Marvell or Lumentum to also work out for it to be right. Worth separating "Ciena beat" from "the whole networking basket ripped."
