Micron and SanDisk are both trading roughly 25 percent below their June highs after Samsung's shareholder return plan came in below what the market wanted. The mechanism is simple. Samsung's board approved 90 to 110 trillion won versus expectations closer to 140 trillion, and the immediate buyback tranche was smaller than SK Hynix's own program from earlier this month. None of that changes underlying DRAM and NAND demand. It changes sentiment around capital discipline in a sector that just had its best year in a decade. Micron is still up close to 190 percent for 2026, so this reads more like profit taking after an extreme move than a reversal of the AI storage thesis.

Everyone calling this a bear market after one bad week from Samsung. Feels early. SK Hynix and Nvidia reportedly locked in a multi year DRAM and HBM supply deal per an Edgewater note this week, which is not the kind of thing companies sign if they think demand is rolling over. Watching to see if this holds.

Bought MU around 780 back in May before this whole run. Watched it touch 1200 and did not sell a single share, which I regret a little now that it is back near 910. My rule going in was simple, trim a third if it doubles from my cost and hold the rest. It already doubled and I did not trim. Not adding more here either. If it breaks 850 I will reconsider, otherwise just sitting on it.

This is just rotation, not collapse. Investors are de-risking into $NVIDIA(NVDA.US) earnings and Jackson Hole. Memory news hurts $Micron Tech(MU.US)/$SKHYNIX, but helps China plays like Zhongji. Dip buyers show up after Wednesday.

Updating safety and preventive of accident mobile transport are always better if it saves lives in an emergency. The other good comfort or convenience functions are good to have.

Well as much as the narrative keeps pointing to yields and I agree yields are a sticky point and that is why the Feds are doing a ‘stealthy YCC’. (Look at what Bessent just added to what he said the day earlier. I mean he is hinting at YCC without saying it. Those who get the hint will plan accordingly. Those who are waiting for a clear cut announcement and definition will be behind the curve. Even crypto is hinting at something. Hint: They flourish with liquidity. And look at USD. It is devaluing in response. Price action precedes narratives.)
