Daily Events

  1. Oct, 26

Realty Income edged up 0.47% to $57.16 today, primarily buoyed by declining Treasury yields that have renewed interest in high-dividend assets. Pre-market trading dipped to $56.90, but the stock rebounded during regular hours to close at $57.16, before slipping slightly to $57.07 in post-market action. The company recently announced its 676th consecutive monthly dividend, underscoring over five decades of consistent payouts, and with a current dividend yield of 5.68% attracts income-focused investors. Financial performance has been solid, with Q2 earnings per share of $0.3689 showing a striking 69.17% year-over-year increase, while net profit surged 74.67%. Regarding valuation positioning, the stock is essentially flat year-to-date at -0.26%, yet trails the February high of $67.94 by 15.86%; trading above its 20-day moving average but below its 60-day moving average suggests consolidation. The elevated P/E ratio of 42.67 and the characteristically lower ROE of 3.50% inherent to REIT structures warrant careful consideration of valuation metrics relative to earnings growth.

  2. Oct, 23

Realty Income declined modestly by roughly 0.3% to close at 56.89, primarily due to profit-taking following the prior day's strong rally of +3.51%. The stock hit an intraday low of 56.57 before recovering slightly. As a Dividend Aristocrat with 676 consecutive months of dividend payments, the company's latest quarter showed Q2 EPS growing 69.17% year-over-year and net profit surging 74.67%, with operating revenue of 1.55 billion dollars. The dividend yield remains attractive at 5.70%, continuing to draw income-focused investors. From a valuation perspective, the current price of 56.89 sits above the 20-day moving average of 54.99 but below the 60-day average of 58.85, down 16.26% from the 52-week high of 67.935 yet up 7% from early October lows. However, REITs broadly face persistent headwinds in the high-interest-rate environment.

  3. Oct, 22

O.US surged 3.1% today to close at $57.06, with the bulk of gains during regular trading sessions. The rally was primarily supported by strong quarterly earnings—Q2 EPS surged 69.17% year-over-year while net income jumped 74.67%, with operating revenue reaching $15.499 billion, up 9.64% from the year-ago period. As a dividend aristocrat with a three-decade track record of raising distributions through every market crash since 1997, the company maintained its monthly dividend of $0.155549797 per unit, reflecting an annualized dividend yield of approximately 5.69%. Price-wise, the stock has recovered 7.36% from its 52-week low of $53.15 achieved in mid-October, yet remains 16.01% below the 52-week high of $67.935, and is down 0.44% year-to-date. However, the current PE ratio of 42.59 indicates elevated valuation levels that merit careful consideration.

  4. Oct, 21

Realty Income declined 1.75% to $55.35 today, primarily driven by profit-taking in high-dividend equities. Q2 earnings showed strong fundamentals with EPS of $0.3689, up 69.17% year-over-year, operating revenue of $1.549 billion (+9.64% YoY), and net income up 74.67% YoY, reflecting stable cash flows from its diversified real estate portfolio. As a dividend aristocrat with an unbroken monthly dividend record since 1997, the stock maintains an appealing 5.86% dividend yield for income-focused investors. On valuation, the stock is down 3.42% year-to-date and has declined 18.53% from its 52-week high of $67.93 set in February, currently trading near its 20-day moving average of $54.84 but significantly below the 60-day average of $59.12, indicating near-term selling pressure. The company manages over 15,500 properties globally with a market capitalization of $52.4 billion. However, the current PE ratio of 41.32 stands at elevated levels, which may constrain future upside potential.

  5. Oct, 20

O rose 1.5% today, outperforming peers, primarily driven by market repricing of high-dividend yield stocks. After gaining 0.7% in pre-market trading, the stock extended gains during the regular session, touching $56.52 at 9:50 AM ET (up 1.8% from the prior close), before retreating to $56.32 in post-market trading. Q2 earnings impressed with EPS of $0.37, up 69% year-over-year, net profit of $344 million, up 75%, and revenue growth to $1.55 billion. Year-to-date, the stock is down 1.69% and has retreated 17% from the 52-week high of $67.94, though it now approaches the 52-week low of $53.15; the stock trades above its 20-day moving average of $54.85 but below the 60-day average of $59.29. Monthly dividend distributions continue as scheduled, with a 5.76% payout ratio attracting income-focused investors. Some market participants remain cautious about high-yield REITs despite solid earnings growth, with the current P/E ratio of 42x warranting attention.

This is my humble U.S. stock holdings, mainly made up of defensive income stocks. I know my portfolio is still very much a newbie’s collection, but I’m learning as I go. I’d really appreciate any advice, comments, or suggestions on how I can improve my holdings and build a stronger portfolio over time.

The last Model S rolled off $Tesla(TSLA.US)'s production line. Here are my thoughts:

I really admire Elon Musk's decision to discontinue the Model S and Model X.

If I were the CEO, it would be very difficult to make that call.

It's a correct and courageous decision.

Only keep the high-volume, profitable production lines.

Giving up the S and X production lines for Optimus, pushing forward towards physical AI.

Recently, the deployment of Robotaxis shows a visibly rising 📈 curve.

Although I didn't catch the opportunity to position long calls this year, the core long positions I hold are meant to see the day when physical AI shines brightly. 🤔
