It’s fascinating to watch the price action today as CNMC "fights" in the $1.98 to $2.10 range. After touching a record 52 week high of $2.12 earlier, we are seeing some clear resistance at these psychological levels. With spot gold hitting an all-time high of $5,417/oz due to global tensions, the tailwinds for miners are incredibly strong, but the intraday volatility shows that many are cautious at these new heights.
I’m personally finding this a great lesson in how small-cap stocks react when they reach uncharted territory and significant round-number milestones.
