Taiwan’s semiconductor exports in April rose 40.5% year-on-year to US$21.56 billion, on robust AI-related demand during the traditional off-season, with chip exports for the first 4 months of 2026 totaling $83.64 billion, up 43.4%, media report. Taiwan’s overall exports rose 39.0% to US$67.62 billion in April, beating the expected 32%, but fell 15.7% versus March.
