ChatGPT: Doing T, really can't make big money

Day trading, also known as "doing T," sounds pretty cool, right? The idea of "making several trips in a day, earning enough for a chicken leg in ten minutes" makes many feel like they are the Wolf of Wall Street. Unfortunately, reality is harsh: day trading can be exhausting, but the profits are not that substantial, and you might not even be able to afford a chicken leg.
First of all, the profits from doing T are as thin as paper. You work hard staring at the K-line chart, your eyes wide open, and after all the buying and selling, deducting fees and slippage, you might find your account balance so low that you question your life choices. For example, you might make a few dozen bucks in a day of T, but that doesn't even cover your electricity, internet, and eye drops. You see, it can't even cover living costs, so how can you expect it to lead you to financial freedom? Wake up, my friend, it's morning.
Secondly, doing T is purely for the "busy life." Others make money in stocks by being "friends with time," buying and then relaxing with tea, while doing T? You spend 8 hours glued to the screen, watching the market until you’re nearly bald, enduring the back-and-forth market fluctuations, akin to riding a roller coaster all day. You work hard, but your money doesn’t grow, and your health deteriorates first.
Most importantly, big money always relies on "compound interest" rather than "back-and-forth trading." Look at Buffett; he buys quality assets and waits for them to grow slowly, letting money make money, with interest compounding, ultimately becoming extremely wealthy. In contrast, day trading is like peeling an onion; every time you do T, you end up in tears, with profits being peeled away layer by layer for brokers and taxes.
So, doing T is not as good as drinking tea. Have fewer fantasies about "getting rich quick" and more patience for "long-term holding." After all, the secret to making big money has never been about fidgeting but quietly accompanying the market on its journey. Want to get rich? Don’t rush into doing T; learn to be friends with time, and that’s the true winner.
