The following are the latest updates on Taiwan Semiconductor (TSMC), Tesla, and Rocket Lab as of January 21, 2025:
Taiwan Semiconductor$Taiwan Semiconductor(TSM.US)
• Progress on U.S. factory technology: TSMC Chairman and CEO C.C. Wei stated that due to compliance issues, domestic construction rules in the U.S., and multiple licensing requirements, it is unlikely that TSMC's new factory in the U.S. will adopt the latest chip technology before the Taiwan factory.
My view: This is interesting; Taiwan is also looking for ways to protect its fundamental interests. However, this conflicts with the potential risks facing the Taiwan Strait. It feels like this is negative for the stock price.
Tesla$Tesla(TSLA.US)
• Charging connector open: Tesla announced the opening of its charging connector used in North America, aiming to promote the unification of electric vehicle charging standards and support broader electric vehicle adoption.
My view: Don't say anything; the entire Western society only has Tesla as a serious electric vehicle. The others are just not competitive.
Rocket Lab$Rocket Lab(RKLB.US)
• NASA contract: Rocket Lab has been selected by NASA to provide launch services for the Neutron rocket under the VADR launch contract, further solidifying its position in the commercial space sector.
My view: Should I continue to increase my position at this point? That's a question.
