U.S. stocks opened higher and continued to rise last night. The storage sector, which had been falling these past few days, saw SanDisk up over 14%, Micron Technology up 11%, ARM up over 11%, ASML and Intel up over 9%, AMD up over 7%, Western Digital up 8%, Seagate Technology and Qualcomm up over 6%.
The main reason is still Donald Trump speaking out again. Yesterday, I was saying that the only one who can contradict what he says is himself. He's often unpredictable. Then, at 1 a.m., Trump posted: "Tonight's airstrike, canceled. Deal basically agreed." Wow, the market really responds to what Trump says. As soon as he finished speaking, the three major indices collectively surged. Afterward, Iran simply didn't acknowledge what Trump said. Anyway, this June isn't over yet, there's still a chance to set up an ambush.
