Basic Semiconductor (9971.HK) climbed more than 5% during regular trading to HKD34.76.
The stock followed a broader surge in the Hong Kong chip sector on July 9, which saw gains across peers including GigaDevice (>13%) and Lattice Semiconductor (>9%).
