Context: The nuclear energy sector has the potential to benefit from the energy demand required by the AI infrastructure. I selected LEU to gain direct exposure to the nuclear fuel supply chain. This energy source has advantages such as providing carbon free power to support expanding AI data center compute needs. Centrus Energy is a leading supplier of enriched uranium and specialized nuclear fuel such as HALEU for advanced small modular reactors.

My trade: I initiated a new long position in Centrus Energy to take advantage of the recent stock market correction. Since stock price has been trending down, I will monitor and add more shares progressively if stock price corrects more to lower my cost price more while waiting for price recovery.

Takeaway: Investing in high beta thematic sectors like nuclear energy requires managing price volatility, since early stage infrastructure plays can experience drawdowns even if having strong demand. All investments come with risk, so due diligence is needed, especially true for individual stocks which are higher risks.

Context: The broader stock market particularly tech equities has experienced a correction and valuation compression. During this time, defensive stocks like Linde has held up quite well. Linde is backed by stable pricing power, resilient long-term contracts and essential supply roles across manufacturing and electronics. Until now, Linde continues to act as a reliable defensive play during current sector rotation.

My trade: I am holding onto my position in Linde through the current market correction. Maintaining this holding allows me to cushion the macro driven tech volatility quite well until now.

Takeaway: Holding a well diversified portfolio does help in a correction, since we do not know when the correction will be over. This will help to shield the portfolio value and prevents reactive and emotional trading.

Context: Semiconductor stocks and ETFs have experienced a valuation pullback during the recent market correction. This was driven by macroeconomic concerns over rising borrowing costs and projected interest rate hikes this year and next year. However, recent earnings still show demand for AI, data center hardwares, and semiconductor manufacturing equipments. The most recent ETF inflows on 16 Oct for SOXL shows $1.3 Billions net inflows representing 6.5% increase in AUM.

My trade: I am holding onto my core position in SOXX through this current correction. Maintaining my holding gives me diversified exposure across top tier semiconductor leaders. I am willing to ride out this macro driven volatility and stay invested.

Takeaway: The market recovered 2 days ago and was followed by a sell down yesterday. It was volatile and the corrections can trigger emotional panic selling. It may not be easy to hold through the corrections. In view of this, it is better to follow own plan and be clear minded when investing in volatile times.

$Defiance AI & Power Infrastructure ETF(AIPO.US)

Context: Recent volatile market correction across tech and AI equities have created a valuation pullback, presenting a dip buying opportunity for me to add shares to this AIPO ETF. I remain cautiously optimistic and will add shares while managing my risk also.

My trade: I am adding to my core position in AIPO during this current correction. Accumulating shares on weakness allows me to expand my long term exposure to the utility providers, heavy equipment makers, and clean energy suppliers powering the data centers.

Takeaway:

Scaling my orders into the critical real world infrastructure during market corrections provides a much better risk adjusted entry point. This is a better way for me in my opinion than chasing momentum during rallies. However there is also the risk of catching the falling knife if there is a prolonged macroeconomic tightening.

Context:

The recent elevated global bond yields continue to expand net investment income for property and casualty insurers. In addition, the favorable pricing across reinsurance segments continue to provide durable earnings growth for companies like Arch Capital Group.

My trade:

I initiated a new long position in ACGL. Moving forward, I will scale into my position in tranches and continue to monitor their quarterly earnings updates to manage short term price fluctuations.

Takeaway:

I chose ACGL as it is a defensive compounder in my case. It has good financials like high ROE, single digit PE ratio and steady EPS, revenue growth.The higher yields environment should continue to drive the net investment income to maintain profitability. Their recent share repurchase authorization of $3.0 billion should also benefit the share price and accelerate their book value per share growth.

Context:

AI technology needs energy and infrastructure to function. Power generation, nuclear energy, and grid modernization remain the primary physical bottlenecks for expanding hyperscale data centers.

My trade:

I am continuing to hold my position in AIPO ETF.

Going forward, I will continue to monitor and add shares near key technical consolidation support levels to steadily accumulate more shares if necessary.

Takeaway:

Staying invested in a thematic ETF like AIPO allows me to maintain exposure and also to capture structural, multi year expansion across critical electrical grid suppliers, utility providers, and cooling infrastructure leaders. This includes companies like GE Vernova, Eaton, and Vertiv that power the physical backbone of the AI revolution.

Context:

Semiconductors are recovering well after a drawdown and market volatility. Structural demand across AI infrastructure, data centers, and hardware remain robust.

My trade:

I am continuing to hold onto my long position in SOXX. This holding allows me to have broad diversification and exposure across leading chip manufacturers like Nvidia, Broadcom, AMD, and Intel. This allows me to capture AI demand growth and minimizing single stock concentration risk at the same time.

Takeaway:

Sometimes holding through price fluctuations and volatility allows the stock or ETF to recover over time and continue to compound. I am believing that this is a structural sector run, so I will continue to hold and buy at lower prices if an opportunity arises.

Context:

The macroeconomic conditions are shifting due to factors like inflation, interest rate hikes by the US Federal Reserve and the elevated US 10 year Treasury yield. This has caused volatility in the stock market. Defensive and high quality company like Linde Plc has also corrected, offering solid long term accumulation opportunities.

My trade:

Linde has corrected today, so I started a long term position filled at 464.30 The market volatility and pullback offers opportunity to DCA, so I will continue to add next time at a better price if the opportunity presents itself.

Takeaway:

I chose Linde for its dominant market position in industrial gases, resilient pricing power, and steady cash flows supported by long term contractual backlogs. In my opinion, this makes it a good defensive play in a high yield environment.

Context: Asian Reit funds have faced persistent headwinds due to inflation and current situation where US Fed Reserve has increased interest rate and incline to further increase the interest rate this year and next year.

My trade: I opened a position near the $0.76 support zone and exited in tranches near the peak around $0.822. So in my case I am fortunate to take profits near the top to capture capital gains before the broader market pullback.

Takeaway:

Locking in capital gains and taking profit periodically can be good to protect gains in a volatile market. However no one can predict the top and bottom and the position size will reduce if keep taking profits.

Reit ETF prices are under pressure in this interest rate sensitive environment, however, at current prices, it can be worthwhile to have a look to re-enter and build a position for longer term investment if dividend income is part of the investment goal.

$Novo Nordisk AS(NVO.US)

Context: Novo Nordisk has peaked around 148 and was on a downtrend since then. The company has unveiled ambitious pipeline plans, projecting $23 Billions in pipeline revenue by 2035 and yet shares slid 6% at one point during pre market today.

My trade: I bought in tranches all the way to $51 range during pullbacks, before closing out all my position at $59.35

Takeaway: Averaging into pullbacks during a broader post peak phase requires a plan and risk management as prices may or may not recover after that.

Good to determine if the stock fits into one's portfolio for investment or just for trading before buying into the stock.

$Sharplink(SBET.US)

Context: SharpLink Gaming experienced extreme price swings after reaching a high near $37, which was followed by a deep downward trend. Trading high beta speculative stocks require more monitoring and tight risk management.

My trade: I executed quick short term trade during the post spike pullback, buying around $21 to $22 range and locking in exits between $21 to $23 range.

Takeaway: Locking in profits is essential when trading speculative stocks as holding a stock when going through a downtrend can quickly erase all the gains.

Moving forward, it is safer to wait for a confirmed technical consolidation base to enter a trade to protect our capital.

$Defiance AI & Power Infrastructure ETF(AIPO.US)

Context: Initially, the stock market faced downward pressure following the news to the potential Federal Reserve rate hike. After the Federal Reserve's 25 bps interest rate hike, the US market looks to be stabilizing. The US 10 year Treasury yield also drops slightly below 5.0%. While higher interest rates may compress growth valuations in the short term, the long term structural demand for power generation and AI grid infrastructure remains intact.

My trade: I continue to believe in my long-term position in AIPO ETF during this macro-driven selloff. Buying AIPO gives me exposure across energy utility providers and electrical grid infrastructure.

Takeaway: Moving forward, I will take advantage to scale into entries during market weakness and pullbacks to steadily lower my cost basis.

My trade: I am continuing to hold on to SOXX ETF during this pullback. SOXX gives me diversified exposure across top chipmakers like Nvidia, Broadcom, and AMD, and minimizing single stock risk.

Takeaway: It pays off to continue to hold on to quality stocks and ETFs and ride through the volatility if we continue to have conviction on the stocks and ETFs that we hold.

Context: Valuations across tech and AI ETFs have pulled back, data center REITs have also softened and provided a healthier entry point into the physical infrastructure supporting global AI workloads.

My trade: I am monitoring and evaluating to add to my long-term core position. While short-term tech prices fluctuate, hyperscaler computing needs remain in demand, making Keppel DC Reit an excellent long-term holding for both income and growth.

Takeaway: Moving forward, I will accumulate in DCA tranches during sector pullback to lower my cost basis.

Context: With AI and cloud computing driving strong demand for data center infrastructure, Keppel DC REIT continues to benefit from this and is able to deliver steady distribution growth and strong operational performance. This Reit is a compelling candidate for me, for my income-focused dividend portfolio.

My trade: Opened a long position to secure a reliable dividend payout stream. I chose Keppel DC REIT for its portfolio, strong occupancy rate, and high-quality data center assets that generate dependable, recurring distributions over the long term.

Takeaway: Going forward, I will monitor for market volatility and will add more near key technical support levels to secure a higher yield-on-cost.

Context: Major semiconductor firms continue to drive AI infrastructure expansion. SOXX has demonstrated some strength recently especially yesterday and closed in green despite Broadcom shares fell after earnings. Broadcom revenue surged 86% last quarter showing solid demand.

My trade: I continue to hold onto my long position in SOXX to gain broad exposure to tech and semiconductor sector. Choosing SOXX lets me capture the semiconductor ecosystem across the various key chipmakers without concentration risk.

Takeaway: I will continue to hold on to high conviction stocks and ETF despite volatility if the fundamentals and story are still intact.

Context: iFAST has a strong Q2 2026 earnings where net income surged 35% yoy. Although the company raised its full-year dividend guidance, however the dividend yield is still low at 1.17% TTM, considering that it has assets Under Administration approx. S$36 billions (as of 30 Jun 2026) and expanding digital banking operations across Asia.

My trade: I am considering options to either continue to hold or trim down the position since the stock price has not performed well after reaching a high of 11.06 at the beginning of this year.

Takeaway: While stock prices are volatile and not certain, one can still have a clear plan and objective and follow accordingly to add, hold or trim position. Market is volatile and presents opportunities to rebalance our portfolio to suit our plan and objective.

Context: Following the recent market dip, I am waiting for the semiconductor stocks to rebound as I think AI hardware and memory chip demand will continue to drive sector outperformance.

Takeaway: Moving forward, I will continue to wait for market dips and opportunities to add and secure a better cost basis.

Takeaway: Going forward, I will continue to invest and scale into my entries when an opportunity arises due to short-term price swings and market volatility.
