Hi @Fattycat your part about trading SpaceX CFDs with less than $1000 that you normally write off, while your bulk portfolio stays in REITs ETF with dividends reinvested, really stuck with me. After your first lesson of chasing momentum and revenge trading in 1998, what practical system do you use today to keep that small high-risk CFD account emotionally separate from your core portfolio? Especially when you also do weekly gold and bitcoin updates that are so volatile?

Trading SGX DLCs humbled me real quick.

Thought: "5x Long = easy money"

Reality: daily reset, compounding, airbag can wipe you to zero 😅

What I learned after a few months trading HSI and US indices DLCs:

Long is not always strong. Short is not always wrong.

DLCs are for DAYS, not months.

If you don't have a stop loss, the market will give you one.

I now only use DLCs when:

1. Trend is super clear 2. I can watch the market 3. Position size is small

It's a scalpel, not a sledgehammer.
