I'm cautious. Singapore’s economy is steady but not booming. The STI’s record highs are more about capital flows and sector leadership than a broad growth surge. This is a technically impressive breakout, but it’s narrow, valuation‑rich, and earnings‑dependent. The sustainability hinges on whether August’s bank results can broaden confidence beyond financials.

At the time of execution, the option premium was trading around $0.06, down sharply from the prior close of $0.10. The underlying stock was at $17.425, slightly below my cost basis. This setup allowed me to generate income while holding the shares, effectively reducing my breakeven point.

Selling covered calls at cost basis is a conservative strategy: if the stock rallies above $18.5, I’m comfortable letting shares go since I’d exit at breakeven plus the collected premium.If the stock stays flat or declines, the premium cushions the downside slightly, though it doesn’t eliminate risk.The trade-off is opportunity cost: I cap my upside beyond $18.5, but I gain certainty in income generation.

Earnings tonight are the real inflection: Tesla and Alphabet must validate AI capex with tangible revenue. Memory’s surge signals risk appetite, but sustainability hinges on fundamentals, not momentum-driven squeezes across semis.

I think we may well be very close to another Taco moment. It is Tuesday again. Will it happen today? Will it move oil prices?

Space X is not worthy of the current valuations, which would already be pricing in years of perfect growth. Dropping below IPO pricing now is simply fair imo. Disappointing this has been fast tracked into QQQ. The volatility since IPO is only helpful to traders.

With the Iran war flipping every other week, market seems to have gotten numb to the situation. I am guessing the following week's movement to be dominated by earning calls of the market leaders.
