HSBC Swiss has appointed Alfonso Gómez as the new CEO, effective April 27, succeeding interim leader Daniel Calado. Gómez brings over 31 years of experience from BBVA, where he held various senior roles, including CEO of BBVA Switzerland. He will be based in Geneva and report to Ida Liu, CEO of HSBC Private Bank. Gómez is also a board member of the Association of Foreign Banks in Switzerland and the Swiss Finance Institute. Liu praised Gómez's leadership skills and commitment to client satisfaction as key qualifications for his new role.
