$Apple(AAPL.US)
Apple has been on a streak lately as tech especially higher beta pulls back. She is considered defensive tech with less exposure to the AI infrastructure buildout and more intertwined with the consumer as opposed to enterprise.
So when economy seems to be growing, that helps support consumer spending and Apple benefits obviously. So coupled with capital looking for a safe haven to park yet stay in tech, Apple has been benefiting.
Not surprisingly, as tech rebounds, Apple stagnates. Quite telling actually as capital rotates back into more reasonably valued tech names.

aapl just tagging along with the market today, +1% and nothing new. the broadcom chip deal was two weeks ago already, not fresh news. while everyone chases memory and AI, apple is the sleepy one lah. still my anchor but not adding here, no catalyst

#Trade Showcase: Trade, Show & Earn Rewards
Apple (AAPL) surged 4.34% in today’s trading session, with the current price hitting $325.09 versus my cost basis of $311.458, expanding my overall floating profit substantially. This strong rally is driven by rising market optimism over Apple’s upcoming AI feature rollouts, steady growth of its high-margin services segment, and robust investor demand for premium large-cap tech assets.
From this trade, I learn that holding quality assets through periods of minor volatility can deliver meaningful lump-sum returns. Patient long-term holdings are more rewarding than frequent buying and selling triggered by short-term market noise.
Regarding risk management, I maintain a fixed position weight for Apple within my portfolio to avoid overexposure. I have activated a trailing stop-loss to lock in part of the newly gained profit if the stock pulls back later. Moving forward, I will keep tracking Apple’s hardware shipment performance and AI monetization progress to adjust my long-term holding plan properly.$Apple(AAPL.US)

apple locked in that 30 billion broadcom chip supply through 2031 including custom AI silicon, and the stock still dipped 2%. people keep forgetting apple is quietly one of the biggest AI supply chain plays. not adding but very happy to hold
I’m looking forward to the earnings of the three big local banks. The stock price is likely to benefit from the growth in net new money and wealth management income given the continuing uncertainties in the Middle East and the rotation of funds from chip stocks.

Big rotation to kick off the week. Apple briefly overtook Nvidia as the world's most valuable company on Friday as AI-capex doubts hit the chip trade.
I remain bullish on NVIDIA. I think Apple has the strength, but the throne likely won't belong to them.
Noticed Singtel's unusual movement today. Strange why it's falling today; I added a small position.
I believe there is a high probability that the acquisition will proceed without issues.

AAPL tapped a fresh intraday high on friday and it barely made any noise. china approving Apple Intelligence with Alibaba's Qwen unlocks the one market that was holding the AI story back. boring compounder doing boring compounder things 😎
$NVIDIA(NVDA.US)
Nvidia needs no introduction. AI and Nvidia have become like synonyms. And its revenue is still growing. Its price have however stagnated and in fact has become arguably much undervalued compared to the past.
I don’t think Nvidia will go parabolic like before but it has become a more mature value like stock profile like Apple but more entwined with the AI world. Future trends like robotics and space are upcoming and Nvidia will very much be part of that so this behemoth is here to stay.

It’s time to look at Nvidia for the week. Last week, she was holding right above the 200D MA precariously. However, she held that support and started turning up towards the end of the week as higher beta keeps getting sold.
When you look at similar big cap profiles in tech such as AMD, AVGO and TSM, AVGO is the closest whereas AMD is pretty strong followed closely by TSM who are both well clear of their 200D MA.
Now look at what is considered the defensive play for tech - Apple. She has been rallying ahead in the meantime.
Now digest all that and look at the big picture. It is actually telling you a story. Earnings are coming up and funds usually de risk into them especially when they are well green on their positions. And some funds are tech oriented so they must stay within the tech world. Guess where they park their money while waiting? They need huge mega caps which are less volatile and won’t move that much with that much capital. The names doing well in the tech mega cap space are the chosen ones. Apple is the clear beneficiary being a tech stalwart yet not a hyperscaler.
If earnings shows that AI is doing well and hyperscalers are not cutting back while starting to monetise AI and forward guidance confirms, I am expecting high beta AI beneficiaries which have sold off to rally hard surprising many retails who are now bearish.

Great for Apple to rise and excited to see their new phone and iOS!

Apple is a defensive play for those who wants to stay in tech so tech funds hide there prior to earnings release. Once the Korean deleveraging is done and high beta is done with the much needed retreat and results confirm the AI buildout, expect capital to rotate back to high beta tech.

Big rotation to kick off the week. Apple briefly overtook Nvidia as the world's most valuable company on Friday as AI-capex doubts hit the chip trade.
Apple briefly overtook Nvidia in market capitalization during intraday trading, highlighting shifting investor sentiment within the AI sector. The move suggests some investors are rotating toward companies that may benefit from AI adoption with lower infrastructure spending requirements. Meanwhile, weakness across semiconductor stocks weighed on broader equity indices, reflecting continued profit-taking and concerns over AI-related valuations after a prolonged rally.

Big rotation to kick off the week. Apple briefly overtook Nvidia as the world's most valuable company on Friday as AI-capex doubts hit the chip trade.
On Friday, Apple's market cap briefly surpassed Nvidia's to become the world's most valuable company. Driven by the rise of consumer-grade AI, Apple avoids the massive capital expenditure bills borne by cloud service and chip giants.
This represents a healthy regression in contrast to the substantial cost expenditures associated with AI infrastructure and storage chips.
Can this new order be maintained? Or will it have to compete fiercely with the market's profit-driven frenzy?

Apple is benefitting from rotating tech capital that are seeking refuge in the big cap which wants to stay in tech rather than deploying into defensive names outside of tech.

A 1-day flip during a broad tech selloff isn’t a coronation. Apple’s growth is still single digits while Nvidia is growing 30-40%. If AI really is the next platform, the infrastructure players keep compounding faster. This was just risk-off rotation, not a vote that iPhone AI beats data center AI.
