S&P, Nasdaq notch 7-day winning streak on ceasefire hopes. The rally is not sustainable, we are due for a pullback as there are too many uncertainties

I am cautiously bullish for the near term. The market is resilient despite the headlines. That is impressive and I am expecting some sort of rally into early May. Stay safe!

To understand the impact of the S$229M startup funding, we must look at the sheer size of the Singapore Stock Market Capitalisation, which is currently estimated around S$850B to S$1 Trillion. S$229M is peanuts. Not a great impact. My guess is the “Smart money” coming to our Lion City☺️.

I think there is desperation by Trump to settle this. His TACO may genuinely force him to take a bad deal and conceded defeat to Iran. The markets should be recovering soon.

When the government injecting money into SGX mid cap, it is expected for the exchange to grow stronger. SGX themselves will be benefiting. However SGX must continue to innovate and not rely on the government!

The winning streak is expected give months of selling pressure. However the ceasefire have not changed anything fundamental, the straits is not opened. Do not be fooled!
