    World's largest meatpacker JBS aims to double output of new Saudi plant

    JBS, the world's largest meat company, plans to double production at its new chicken processing plant in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, by the end of 2026. This initiative supports Saudi Arabia's goal to enhance local food production and reduce food import reliance. The plant, operational since last year, has already quadrupled JBS's production capacity in the region. JBS has invested $85 million in Saudi Arabia since 2021 and exports products to neighboring countries. The Seara brand, introduced in 2021, is now among the top three brands in Saudi Arabia.

    Brazilian beef exports stable in 2026 despite Chinese measures, ABIEC says

    SAO PAULO, Jan 19 (Reuters) - Brazil is expected to export between 3.3 million metric tons and 3.5 million tons of beef this year, compared with 3.5 million tons in 2025, even after top importer China imposed safeguards to protect the national industry, according to fresh projections by Brazilian beef lobby ABIEC on Monday.ABIEC represents large listed meat producers including JBS (Z98.F) , MBRF (MBRF3.SA) and Minerva (BEEF3.SA) .
