KLAC’s fundamentals remain strong, supported by AI-driven semiconductor demand, a large backlog, improving earnings expectations and high returns on capital. However, valuation remains demanding, while elevated Treasury yields and potential Fed tightening create multiple-compression risk. The recent correction has improved the entry setup. Technical analysis favors accumulating gradually around $160–170, with $150 as key downside invalidation and $200–210 as an initial target.

    $KLA(KLAC.US)

Context: KLA is one of the semiconductor equipment holdings in my portfolio. My average cost is $261.91, and I am still holding my position. KLAC currently represents 9.17% of my portfolio.

My trade: I am continuing to hold KLAC. I’m monitoring semiconductor demand, AI-related investment, advanced packaging, and KLA’s process control and inspection business.

Takeaway: KLAC remains an important position in my portfolio, so I’ll continue to follow the company’s fundamentals and my portfolio allocation over time.

Semiconductor test and metrology have become the key factor in AI chip yield, cost, performance and mass production speed, moving this formerly behind-the-scenes work to the fore, media report, citing SEMI Taiwan President Terry Tsao. Instead of just catching defects, modern test and metrology equipment now feeds real-time insights back to the design, fabrication and packaging stages for faster troubleshooting. System-Level Testing (SLT), burn-in testing, and reliability verification have all moved up in importance. #Advantest $Teradyne(TER.US) $Applied Materials(AMAT.US) $KLA(KLAC.US) $Onto Innovation(ONTO.US) $Nova(NVMI.US)

➤ Highlights continued confidence in long-term AI infrastructure spending.

➤ Identifies sectors and companies analysts believe offer the strongest recovery potential.

    👉 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁:

    𝗖𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿:

"After a massive drawdown over the last 5+ weeks (with SOX down ~30% peak to trough vs. S&P 500 -3%), Semiconductor stocks have finally caught a bid (SOX +12% this week vs. S&P500 +3%). We would be adding to positions aggressively as we view today's AI Infrastructure buildout as durable and elongated though recognize the rate of change from here is important too and that data points are no longer going to be uniformly positive. Thus, selectivity will matter. But with peak to trough declines of 32% for SMID Cap SPE, 27% for memory, 25% for Analog, and 24% for Large Cap SPE, we view the selloff as overdone. Our rank order of preference remains Memory/ Storage, then Compute, and then SPE. Our Top Picks are MU & SNDK in Memory, WDC & STX in Storage, NVDA, AVGO, & AMD in AI Compute, and ASML, AMAT, LRCX, KLAC, TER, MKSI, & ONTO in Semi Cap. Potential Catalysts: Earnings season continues with reports from covered companies CAMT and AMAT. SNDK is also hosting its Investor Day Thursday. Other key reports include LITE, CRWV, SMCI, COHR, and CBRS."

    $KLA(KLAC.US)

KLA just reported record June-quarter revenue of $3.66B and guided for $4B in September revenue. Yet the stock sold off sharply after hours and has continued to slide. The market seems focused on near-term margin pressure from memory pricing and tariffs, while overlooking the company’s strong cash generation.

I’m more focused on KLA’s moat and free cash flow. As AI drives more complex advanced packaging, chipmakers increasingly need KLA’s process control and defect inspection systems. Its position in this critical part of the semiconductor supply chain remains strong, with advanced packaging control revenue expected to grow over 70% this year to around $1.1B.

I’ll keep watching whether wafer equipment spending supports the industry’s upgraded $150B forecast for the year. Short-term margin noise doesn’t change the long-term demand for KLA’s technology.
