The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) has warned that offshore crypto platforms are creating regulatory blind spots that criminals exploit to move illicit funds. In a report, FATF highlighted that many offshore firms structure operations to evade oversight, complicating international cooperation. Less than half of surveyed jurisdictions have adopted effective crypto oversight, allowing unlicensed platforms to operate freely.
