Recently, retail, consumer staples, and defensive sectors have all been hit hard. $Walmart(WMT.US) and $Costco Wholesale(COST.US) have both been unremarkable. Instead, it feels like Walmart is starting to be overtaken by $Amazon(AMZN.US), marking the end of a small era.

I'm cautiously watching $Nike(NKE.US) from the sidelines. After all, its earnings performance is unclear, and the lack of strength from the China market isn't helping. On the other hand, $Altria(MO.US), which keeps hitting new highs while taking hits, is enough to make even a quitter envious.

The management shake-up at Constellation Brands this time sent the stock crashing to the floor. I've already given up caring. The wine still needs drinking, but I still don't know whether to hold the stock.
