Its the match up that most of us have been waiting for. This would have been an exciting final on itself. But looks like it is only one of this teams that will make it through to the finals.

France has Mbappe. Spain has Yamal. A good team always have an individual capable of making the difference.

France has an unsung hero though that Spain lacks. Saliba is a huge boulder in defence. And Spain lacks that defensive giant especially when they keep playing Simon in goalkeeper when they have a match winning keeper in Raya. Always make me wonder how they select their keeper.

So I believe France will edge Spain here by a tight margin.

It's really World Cup fever everywhere in Singapore. The excitement isn't just in sports bars anymore. Free live screenings are being held all over the island....at malls, community plazas, community clubs, SAFRA clubhouses and other public spaces.

People are gathering late into the night to watch the matches together. Friends, families, neighbours and even strangers are cheering, celebrating goals and sharing the excitement. Even if you don't support a particular team, it's hard not to get caught up in the atmosphere.

For a few weeks, football brings everyone together, and you can really feel the World Cup spirit all across Singapore.

World Cup nights (or mornings) always hit differently. I watched the Norway vs England game at the CC with a few friends, and the atmosphere was unreal. Even though we were cheering for England, the Norwegian fans were amazing. The Viking chant gave me goosebumps. You could really feel how football brings everyone together.

As an England fan though, I know we’ve all said it before, but this squad feels different with Bellingham leading the charge. Hopefully in a week’s time we’ll all be singing the same thing…

England look stronger on paper, especially with Kane scoring consistently and Bellingham making such a big impact. But Norway still have Haaland, and everyone knows how quickly he can punish a defence.

I think England will have more possession and create more chances, but Norway will remain dangerous until the final whistle. My prediction is England to win 2–1, although I would not be surprised to see Haaland score.

Norway are the team I want to see advance in this match.

England may have more depth and several players in strong form, but Norway have already proved that they should not be underestimated. Beating Brazil was a huge statement, and Haaland once again showed that he can decide a match when the pressure is highest.

Another interesting part of this game is that Haaland will face several familiar players from Manchester City. England may understand his movement and finishing, but that familiarity works both ways. Haaland also knows their habits, positioning and weaknesses.

I expect England to have more possession, but Norway can be extremely dangerous on the counterattack. My prediction is a close 2–1 victory for Norway, with Haaland making the difference again.

I hope Norway’s historic World Cup journey continues.

English to win against the Vikings

This is a match that will be interesting. History has seen numerous battles in ancient medieval Europe between various factions. The English and the Spanish has been the common denominator in many. Yesterday Spain vanquished the Belgians to proceed and set up a mouthwatering semifinal with France. If England succeed today, they will meet the winner of Argentina Switzerland.

I am rooting for an England Swiss semifinal.

English Tea with Norwegian Salmon

Well well well. The match that Man City and Arsenal fans are waiting for. It’s like man city and arsenal players being randomly picked and assigned a team.

We have Guehi, O Riley and Haaland from Man City and Rice, Odegaard, Saka, Madueke and Eze from Arsenal. Funny to see Arsenal’s captain feeding Haaland assists for goals and Man City’s Guehi and O Riley defending against them with Rice and Saka as well playing against Odegaard in midfield.

Interesting to see who comes out victorious but if England can stop Haaland and Odegaard, they will proceed to the semi finals. I believe Rice (if fit) will be too much for Odegaard to handle with Bellingham beside him.

England vs Norway. Can the former finally "bring it home" or the latter create history by beating England and reaching the semi finals? I'll be watching this entertaining match at my friend's house tomorrow morning! I am supporting England and hoping that they can at least get to the semis this time round, but if Haaland & Odegaard can pull off the unexpected with Norway I wouldn't be surprised either. The Bulls vs The Chocolatiers

Spain is just too strong in my opinion. Belgium is renowned for their chocolate which is named after them. But chocolates are nice to be eaten.

And the Spanish are just a class above them when it comes to this match up. At this level, the favourites tend to step up a notch and I expect Spain to win by a thin margin.

Yesterday I rooted for the underdog Morocco and they whimpered out when I expected them to at least put up a fight.

So today I decided to vote for the favourites which I believe to be Spain. They are just too smooth and possess too much class for the Belgians in my opinion. So I think it will be 1-0 in favour of Spain!
