IIF: Emerging market investment portfolios attract USD 99 billion in foreign capital inflows, setting a record for monthly capital inflows in January
The International Institute of Finance (IIF) announced that in January, foreign investors injected $99 billion into emerging market portfolios, setting a record for monthly capital inflows in January and marking the largest single-month net inflow since 2020. Stock and bond markets across regions attracted capital inflows. Among them, debt securities recorded a historic inflow of $71.4 billion; equity inflows reached $27.4 billion, ranking fifth in the data compiled by IIF since 2005
