CHINA RAILWAY is in discussions to develop a large copper mine in Congo, with a potential annual output of 200,000-500,000 tonnes. The project, which could become one of the largest copper mines globally, will be located in Kasai-Oriental Province, differing from the current southeastern mining region. The development will be a joint venture between CHINA RAILWAY's subsidiary and Congo's state-owned diamond company MIBA.

UBS has lowered its target price for CHINA RAILWAYfrom HKD4.5 to HKD4.3 while maintaining a Buy rating. The company reported a decline in revenue and net profit of 5.45% and 27.65% YoY, respectively, in 1Q26, attributed to its focus on traditional infrastructure and domestic projects. China Railway announced its 2025 annual performance, with revenue of 1.09 billion RMB, a year-on-year decrease of 5.8%. This tunnel is a key project for the Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu High-Speed Railway, connecting Shanghai and Taicang, Jiangsu, with a total length of 14.25 kilometers. The Riverside High-Speed Railway has a total investment of over 500 billion yuan and is expected to drive an increase of nearly 1.5 trillion yuan in added value for upstream and downstream industries, forming a new economic corridor connecting a quarter of the country's national-level advanced manufacturing clusters
