China's first real estate investment trust (REIT) with a tunnel as its underlying asset has been listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, raising CNY4.7 billion (USD689 million). Launched by Shanghai Tunnel Engineering Company and managed by Orient Securities Asset Management, the REIT is based on the Qianjiang Tunnel in Hangzhou. The listing attracted over CNY250 billion in subscriptions, setting a record for highway-related REITs. STEC announced that its revenue for the third quarter was 12.374 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 16.73%; net profit was 483 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 32.47%. Recently, the 13.53-meter × 8.438-meter pipe jacking/shield tunneling integrated machine independently developed by STEC successfully passed acceptance and was officially launched. This equipment is the world's first pipe jacking/shield tunneling integrated machine, capable of switching between the two "modes" of shield tunneling and pipe jacking, enabling the construction of rectangular pipe jacking tunnels and shield tunnels without intermediate shafts. After the pipe jacking/shield tunneling integrated machine is launched, it will be applied to the construction of the return line behind the Dongjing Station of the Shanghai Metro Line 12 west extension project
