Without the old captain at the helm, there is nothing noteworthy of this entity, except it's sitting on a humongous pile of cash waiting to be deployed. This week marks a turning point as Jerome Powell will hold his final Fed press conference. I am waiting to listen to his speech and understand his view before taking my trading position . We may see new Fed Kevin Warsh appear at Wednesday's meeting. His appearance and his comment will add value to investors.

I hope Powell stays on the Fed board after his term ends on May 15. His experience would be a great asset to help the new Fed navigate today's tough economic environment.

US and China relations are such that they can alter any time especially with a President as capricious as Trump. Both parties lack trust in each other so while this reaching of preliminary consensus may bring relief to some stocks, there is no telling how long it can last.

As cliche as this sounds, I will still say it. The market is not expecting much from the Feds so a dovish Fed will possibly provide another leg up and Big Tech needs to show the market that they are starting to monetise AI for the next leg up.
