Trending upwards after major pivot. I believe it is now entering a space with better prospects. CEO Mark is known to make difficult pivots. I believe selling AI computing power is far more profitable!

Rosenblatt note on Meta $Meta Platforms(META.US):

"Bloomberg reported today that Meta was planning a cloud business to sell AI computing power. The story noted that the company is considering selling access to various AI models hosted on its existing AI infrastructure, as well as "raw" computing capacity, as part of its Meta Compute initiative. During their annual meeting (May 27), Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg told shareholders leasing cloud computing business was possible if they overbuild their data center capacity, which at the time he indicated they had not. Additionally, questioning on Meta's 1Q results call was focused on the ROIC of their CAPEX, so we are not surprised by today's messaging from Bloomberg's "people familiar with the matter." Our checks show no change in hyperscale posture toward GPU compute procurement, with GPU shortages the norm right now across the industry. We also do not think that Meta has the right to resell any of the capacity that they have leased from CoreWeave through 2032 to third parties."

No change in GPU compute procurement is bullish for $NVIDIA(NVDA.US) $AMD(AMD.US)

$Meta Platforms(META.US) Meta's shares declined after reports of a potential equity sale aimed at funding its AI expansion, following Alphabet's increased stock sale. Mark Zuckerberg has invested heavily in AI talent and infrastructure, attempting to recover from setbacks with the Llama 4 release and delayed projects. This news added on to the misery on Friday as the broader market sold off following stronger than expected jobs report, which pushed the likelihood of rate hike higher in December to 42%. Despite challenges, analysts maintain a "Strong Buy" consensus on Meta stock, with an average price target suggesting a 38.1% upside potential. @Bridge Buzz SG

META dropped 7% despite a solid Q1 beat. The market is spooked by the massiveย $125-$145 capex guidanceย for AI and a slight user growth miss.

The reaction feels like an overcorrection. While the $8B tax benefit padded the EPS, the core ad business is still growing at 33%. Mark Zuckerberg is betting the farm on AI, and history shows that when Meta spends big (like they did on Reels and mobile), it eventually pays off in massive margins.

I don't have a position yet, but this dip is looking like a great entry point. Iโ€™m considering opening aย start position hereย to pending buy limit and DCA. Iโ€™m betting on the "AI multiplier" for their ad business in

    the long run.

    Cheers guy.

One of the most powerful tech companies on the planet just told its own people, we don't need you anymore.

Meta is planning to fire up to 20% of its entire global workforce.

That is potentially 16,000 human beings losing their jobs not because the company is failing but because it is winning.

Meta's stock is up, revenue is growing and the app has 3.58 billion active users.โ€‹

So why are people getting cut.

Because Mark Zuckerberg has made a decision that will define the next decade of tech and it doesn't include most of the people who built his empire.โ€‹

He is spending between $115 billion and $135 billion this year alone on AI infrastructure.โ€‹

By 2028, the total bill for AI data centers hits $600 billion.โ€‹

This is a company restructuring itself around machines replacing workers openly.โ€‹

Zuckerberg said it himself in January: "Projects that once required large teams are now being completed by a single, highly skilled individual".โ€‹

He wasn't warning anyone but instead was announcing a roadmap.โ€‹

This would be the largest layoff in Meta's entire history.โ€‹

For context, in 2022, they cut 11,000 people and the world called it a crisis.โ€‹

This time the number is 16,000 and the company is doing it from a position of strength, not weakness.โ€‹

The official response from Meta: "This is speculative reporting about theoretical approaches".โ€‹

They said the same thing before every major layoff in recent memory.โ€‹

Senior executives have already been told to start planning workforce reductions.โ€‹

Here is what this is really about.

AI is not just replacing jobs at struggling companies, it is replacing jobs at the most profitable tech firm in the world and the CEO is calling it "efficiency".

Every major tech company is watching this move.โ€‹

If Meta pulls this off, cuts 16,000 people, keeps growing, and lets AI absorb the workload every CEO in Silicon Valley will copy the playbook.

The cost of building AI is so enormous that even a $1.5 trillion company has to cut thousands of workers to help pay for it.

That tells you everything about where this industry is heading.
