SK Hynix, Meta Platforms, Qualcomm, China’s August CPI and PPI shares increase.

The same local shares either flat share or decreases.

Wish the local shares to improve.

I’m curious how apples foldable phone will perform in the long run. All foldable phones have the similar issue of creasing, and apples foldable phone looks to be the same. Was hoping they could have innovated to stand out from the rest of the crowd.

Trade with caution as it is hard to tell what the 16 Sep rate decision will be. The only sure thing is the market will react.

Singapore stocks continue to fall, a 3rd day in a row, which is interesting given how strong and stable our local market has been this year. Nonetheless, rising inflation and increased rate hike possibilities all contributed to the temporary decline, and to be honest, this is a slight pullback compared to how much the stocks have ran in the past 8 months.

Tonight shows 3 different pressures. Apple trying to re-ignite hardware at $3,199. Oil signaling inflation isn’t dead. Bonds saying money is expensive. AAPL flat tells me investors are waiting. Until oil cools or yields drop, every “innovative” launch fights a macro headwind.

Apple should do well and continue to propose based on this foldable model. Though foldable models are not new to market, Apple has always been able to make it better in an aesthetic way and more stylish.

Quiet week so far in the markets other than corporate news for some news. Excitement is all at the FX side on USD and JPY, or even SGD appreciating against MYR.

$SK Hynix(SKHY.US) might be in an break out territory after consolidation for awhile can also slowly DCA into the stock if interested in memory theme. But the overall market is choppy and more bearish sentiment but markets are rising so always beware of big volatile moves to up or downside.
