    Gold is in a good place. I cannot say for certain if we have seen the bottom yet. But it looks like appetite for Gold is returning. Historically as well, gold has had periods of time when it will pull back after rallying. But throughout time and gold has been around ages, there is only one direction up.

    I wouldn't call this a rebound, especially for memory stocks as they continue to fluctuate at least 5% everyday. SG stocks continue to edge higher despite a mini slide during open, with bank stocks creating new highs by the end of the day. Google and Tesla earnings are also probably the highlights post bell tonight, so let's see what surprises they can bring.

    What is considered the world’s de facto safe asset as well as ‘go to’ reserve asset? (Sorry USD. You are not really an asset. Just a trading intermediary)

    It’s none other than gold. Gold has been given value since ancient times and a gauge of wealth. Gold is what the world will trust and trade when they don’t trust the fiat system. And gold’s value has been increasing with respect to fiat.

    That is why most countries have a gold reserve. Gold is physical and will be relevant. After the pullback, gold’s value is looking reasonable again compared against the fiat system.

    Korea dropping 650 billion on chips is not a top signal, that is conviction. early innings imo. been adding NVDA and the memory names on every dip, the capex cycle has years left when even SG exports are up 38% off this 🚀

    With Hormouz set to reopen on Friday, SG stocks have also rallied back. Bank stocks continue their upwards trend, while Reits remain the same due to uncertainty over interest rate decision in December. Blue chip stocks are also up, showing the strength of our local market.

    Is the STI bull sustainable, or are you buying records? The quality case is real: Singapore banks are well capitalised, pay strong dividends, and benefit from a resilient economy with PMI in expansion. That is a foundation, not a bubble.

    The caution is valuation and breadth. After a strong run, the banks trade well above their decade averages, and an index carried by a handful of names is more exposed if sentiment turns. For me this is a hold for the dividends and the quality, not a chase at the highs. I would rather add SG blue chips on pullbacks than pay up for a record.

    Happy Holidays Everyone! A little rest today before watching the market like a hawk again tomorrow. SG bank stocks making ATH, when is the pullback? What goes up must come down, right? The question is when 😉 Investors stay invested, close both eyes and rest. Traders stay trading, close one eye also will win at this stock. No worries!

    [Week 6 – Staying Disciplined]

    Another week of consolidation for the portfolio. After the strong momentum from previous weeks, this phase is more about patience, discipline, and position management rather than chasing quick gains. Short-term volatility is still part of the game, especially within the semiconductor and AI-related sector, but the bigger picture remains intact.

    This week I continued focusing on high-conviction holdings while keeping overall exposure balanced. Some positions moved sideways, while others experienced temporary pullbacks, but I’m treating these as normal market rotations instead of emotional signals.

    I also started adding selective SG leverage exposure to improve capital efficiency and flexibility in managing opportunities. The approach remains controlled and measured — leverage is being used carefully, not aggressively — with the goal of enhancing long-term portfolio growth while maintaining risk management as the top priority.

    Key focus for Week 6:

    * Staying patient during consolidation

    * Managing exposure carefully

    * Monitoring semiconductor momentum closely

    * Using SG leverage strategically and responsibly

    * Continuing to focus on long-term portfolio health over short-term noise

    The market won’t move up every week, and that’s okay. Consistency and discipline matter more than reacting emotionally to daily price action. @Bridge Buzz SG
