Beginner's Notes on US Stocks 75

The important thing is not prediction, but surviving both ups and downs

Today's market was really unfriendly to me. Successfully added positions at META630 and 620 today, now this account is 90% allocated. Not many more chances to add, leaving bottoms at 600 and 580. After two more additions, it'll be fully allocated. New year's quota has arrived - if needed, will deposit more. The recent exchange rate is good, planning to use it all by month-end to observe the trend.

For the IB account, successfully added positions at MSFT470 and 460 too. Next target at 450, waiting for a panic opportunity. This account is less than 50% allocated with good mentality. Focusing on BRKB, QQQ, VOO and MSFT here, plus a little LLY (cost basis under 600, no chance to add as it kept soaring and I sold too early). Will keep if no opportunity, add if chance arises.

Recently got too many small stock recommendations from friends - decided to ignore them. Remind myself: control impulses, listen to experienced advice, and you'll eat well.

This account's position ranking: UNH, META, AMZN, NVDA, GOOG, TSM, APPL. Pity the first two positions are too heavy, leaving little for the rest...

Recent ETF gains were good, even timed some tops perfectly last Thursday. 4.5% return in the first half-month of the year - somewhat crazy. Control risks well, with small capital the mentality stays relaxed, just giving myself some trading practice. After all, I rarely trade US stocks...

For A-shares, following my grad school friend's regular investments in 515080 and 512290. Honestly I don't understand - he was trading stocks back in school days, a real veteran. Broad-based regular investing with small amounts - using RMB to show patriotism, hoping the country loves me back the same way.

Early to bed, early to rise makes a man healthy. Good night~
