$KLA(KLAC.US) surged +13% today, directly hitting a new 60-day high and closing at $2411. The 9-day, 21-day, and 50-day moving averages are all in a bullish alignment, and the 14-day RSI has reached the overbought zone at 74.
The capital expenditure narrative for semiconductor equipment is re-accelerating, but the risk-reward for chasing at this level is poor—the price has already moved more than a dozen points away from the 9-day moving average (around 2100).
A pullback to the 2200-2250 zone would be a more comfortable entry area. Exit if it breaks below the 21-day moving average at 1970. The upside target is the 2500 round-number level first, with a risk-reward ratio of roughly 1:2. Overbought can become more overbought. Position sizing should follow the discipline of "if the pullback doesn't come, don't chase."
