Applied Optoelectronics and Kingboard Laminates both fell -13%, Lumentum also dropped seven or eight points. The pullback in the AI hardware sector is showing absolutely no mercy😫
There's no company-level bad news for Applied Optoelectronics; it's purely a high-beta stock being the first to bleed when optical module trading cools down. Kingboard Laminates has issued price increase letters one after another, but it can't withstand downstream customers starting to bargain and major shareholders reducing their holdings. Once the logic for price increases weakens, the fall has no bottom. Those who chased highs are currently playing dead, and can only wait for the sector's sentiment to recover on its own.
