Optical and storage names just pulled back hard, and I keep getting asked if it is time to buy the dip. Here is how I would think about it.
Marvell ran over 54% in a week and printed six straight green days. That is a parabolic move. The reality is, parabolic moves always revert toward the mean. Not maybe. Always. The only question is when.
So what do you do? First, if you are already long and in profit, trail your stop. Do not give back a 54% move hoping for more. Second, if you are not in yet, do not chase a stock this far above its moving averages, because your stop has to sit miles away and your risk is huge. Third, wait for a pullback to a support level you can actually define. Let price come to you.
The trend is still up, so I am not shorting this. But buying right after a vertical run is how most traders donate money to the market. Be patient. And that's it.
AVGO up 200% YoY still kena sold off, the bar too high already lah. SpaceX IPO I wait and see first, don't anyhow catch

AEM up roughly 6x this year and the 1Q numbers actually back it: revenue S$116.9M up 36%, net profit up over 300%, margins from 3.9% to 12.3%. Test Cell Solutions alone grew 72%. this is not just the Intel test supplier story anymore, the new fabless AI/HPC customer is what changed the game 🧠
Most investors looked at Marvell jumping 32% in a day and saw a stock chasing a Jensen Huang soundbite. I think that misses the more interesting story. The move is really a verdict on a business-model...
MRVL 32% in one day damn shiok but liao i think the easy money already gone, now everything hinges on AVGO tonight, if Broadcom only in line and dun crush then the whole AI chip rally might take a breather🤔

Wah HPE jump 40 percent after Dell and now Micron cross 1000, the AI hardware trade really damn hot sia. But when everybody so excited liao I always scared the easy money already gone, so I rather wait for a pullback before chiong 👀

Aiyo this narrow ATH really makes me uneasy leh, when only the mega caps carry the index the breadth damn weak, I rather wait and buy on a real pullback 👀

Wah Anthropic almost 1 trillion liao, sure got bubble vibes lah but the monetization damn fast also. For EV I prefer Li Auto's profit discipline over Xpeng growth, and with crude shooting up I keeping more cash this weekend leh

Micron $1T cap looking damn shiok sia, but the AI memory hype already very stretched leh, I prefer to nibble RKLB and ASTS while waiting for SpaceX IPO clarity 🚀

The ALAB +13% is the more interesting tell leh, money is rotating into optical and connectivity beyond just the GPU names. AI infra trade is broadening, not dying.

B leh. Numbers will likely meet the bar but a clean Q2 guide above 90B already partly priced in. With China H20 still zero booked and Huawei substitution noise, hard to see a fresh leg up immediately, range-bound into summer makes more sense to me.
