By expanding the Taurus family with footprint-compatible x16 Smart Retimers and Smart Redrivers, we are giving customers a more flexible path to scaling denser AI infrastructure with stronger economics.”𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗛𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘂𝘁𝗵, corporate vice president, Architecture and Strategy, AMD:“Open, standards-based technologies and ecosystem collaboration are core to AMD’s AI strategy to deliver customer choice, interoperability and flexibility at every layer,” said Robert Hormuth, corporate vice president, Architecture and Strategy, AMD. “Our collaboration with Astera Labs on open connectivity helps customers build efficient, adaptable rack-scale systems, and the expanded Taurus family shows how standards-based design can preserve flexibility as infrastructure evolves.”𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁 𝗞𝗶𝗺𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹, vice president and principal analyst at Moor Insights & Strategy:“The physical layer is becoming a more visible constraint on cluster design, deployment timelines, and long-term platform flexibility as hyperscalers and neoclouds build denser AI systems,” said Matt Kimball, vice president and principal analyst at Moor Insights & Strategy. “Astera Labs’ Taurus family is well aligned with that shift by giving customers a standards-based way to balance reach, power, observability, and supplier optionality as they move into 200G infrastructure.”In one single day the market handed Nvidia two new challengers. Microsoft signed on to deploy AMD's Helios rack in Azure, and a report surfaced that Google is baking its Gemini architecture directly i...
AMD advancing AI event is tomorrow and thursday, helios rack already landed microsoft and analysts bumped targets to 655 and 700. stock only closed +1.6% cos oil ate the whole tape. this is the catalyst week and im positioned long into it
Earnings are around the corner and funds that have derisked into it have done so, tech stocks looked to have bottomed and if earnings confirms AI momentum, tech will fly.

While everyone else was focused on South Korea crash & buying the dips on memory stocks, I am paying attention to our local market. With the reduced board lot size introduced in October, many are pushing bank stocks higher before taking profit later on. I'm not 100% sure that a healthy pullback is on the cards anytime soon, but I'm certainly not rushing in as well. I'm buying these bank stocks for my dividend portfolio, not trading, hence the patience and not trying to fomo in to lock in more profits.

AMD strengthened its AI infrastructure strategy by committing to the Helios platform, shifting from selling standalone accelerators to offering an integrated AI rack solution. Microsoft’s planned Azure deployment and customer commitments from Meta, OpenAI and Oracle enhance AMD’s AI positioning. Despite higher analyst price targets, the stock’s gains were limited as broader market sentiment was weighed down by oil price concerns and caution ahead of earnings, while select AI supply-chain segments remained relatively resilient.

More custom silicon and rack options means AI infra gets commoditized and deployed everywhere. Google with “Frozen v2” and AMD with Helios on Azure lowers cost per token, so usage explodes. Nvidia still sells the most GPUs, but TSMC, power, cooling, and networking all win bigger. This isn’t anti-Nvidia, it’s pro-AI scale.

Seems like Fraser Centerpoint Trust prefers assets in the north-east sector of the island like this Bayshore one. So far, they haven't have foothold to the south-western sector like clementi-jurong east/west-Bukit Batok-Tengah-CCK-Bukit Panjang. Hopefully they would acquire something when the greater southern waterfront district lands.

AMD continues to strengthen its AI position with Microsoft adopting its Helios AI platform for Azure, adding to a growing list of major customers. Investor optimism remains high. When AMD reaches $600, I may consider taking some profits. It would be a good opportunity to reassess its valuation, long-term growth potential, and whether there are more attractive opportunities elsewhere.

AMD's Azure win and Google's custom AI chip efforts reinforce that AI demand remains strong beyond Nvidia.Current weakness as sector rotation rather than the end of the AI cycle. If chip stocks pull back while fundamentals remain intact, sentiment-driven weakness could present attractive opportunities to add quality AI names. At the same time, maintaining some energy exposure provides a useful hedge against higher oil prices and geopolitical risks.

Trump’s vociferous posturing is not going to get the Strait of Hormuz open. In his past track record of “managing” relations with other countries, he has always made things worse and this war is turning out no different. Now we are faced with the threat of blockage of another strait and free marine passage rights in danger of being undermined permanently.

I'm still leaning toward buying the dip in AI and semiconductor stocks. The recent correction feels more like a sentiment reset than a change in the long-term story. AMD securing Microsoft for Helios and Google reportedly developing more advanced custom AI chips only confirm that AI infrastructure spending continues to accelerate, not slow down.
I don't see this as an "anti-Nvidia" trade. The AI market is becoming larger and more competitive, which is healthy for the entire ecosystem. Nvidia will remain a major beneficiary, while companies across memory, networking, storage and software should also capture meaningful growth. That's why I'm using this pullback to gradually accumulate my highest-conviction AI positions.
Oil and energy could stay strong if Middle East tensions escalate further, but I prefer to stay focused on where I see the biggest long-term compounding opportunity. Short-term volatility doesn't change my strategy. As long as AI demand and enterprise spending remain intact, I'll continue to add on weakness and let time do the heavy lifting.
