After the stock slide on the propose intention to buy Paramount, at the time it was the worry that the huge purchase bill amounting to US$83 billion will weigh down on its gearing, stock down by ~18%, then it was co-founder Reed Hastings who exited Netflix, another ~10% down. And now a slightly above expectation Q2 2026 earning but with a bleak forecast, another ~7% down. The only good news were when the stock split of 10-1 on 30 Oct, 2025, stock rose by ~2% and the termination of Paramount purchase, stock rose ~14% on 26 Feb, 2026. It has dropped more than 40% from US$134 on June 2025 to the current US$68. Do you still believe in Netflix?

$Intel(INTC.US) near 94 and reports next week on the 23rd. the interesting bit this time: foundry yield reportedly hit 85% and Nvidia plus OpenAI showed up on the customer list. that's the first real evidence the turnaround might have legs. but i've been burned believing Intel turnarounds before, so i'm keeping a starter and waiting for the print, not front-running it. earnings on a beaten-down name is a coin flip. show me first.

$NVIDIA(NVDA.US) held 207 and was relatively resilient while memory got wrecked and the semi index fell 2.6%. same playbook as always, when the sector gets scared money concentrates into the leader with the cleanest demand. the H200 China approval is capped under 200k units so it's not a needle-mover, but the relative strength on an ugly chip day is the tell. holding core, not chasing.

The theme for "punishment" (aka excuse for profit taking) this year for the AI trade is consistent - concerns on ROI of capex. In this case TSMC is up nearly 40% YTD and institution players may simply used the capex headline as an excuse to lock in gains. Fact is that TSMC builds capacity against pre-paid customer (APPL, NVDA, AMD) commitments. With full-year revenue outlook raised from "above 30%" to 40%+ (abv Wall St consensus of 35%) and demand structurally locked in through 2030 due to emergence of agentic AI.

* Chip selloff looks more like broad profit-taking after a strong rally than a deterioration in fundamentals

Warren Buffett, The Oracle of Omaha, has given over US$68 billion to charity and has planned to further give US$140 billion by 2034. He is the largest billionaire donor in the world and pledge to give 99.5% of his wealth. However, he spoke on the overvaluation of today stock market and thinks it hard to find any good bargain in current market. He liken the stock market as a church with a casino connected to it and investors as gamblers. The heighten valuation is mainly fueled by AI stocks and the current value of AI stocks is more than US$600 billion. If it pops, it will be very ugly. Let's hope the most successful investor is wrong this time!

Chip stocks are selling off even after strong results from Taiwan’s top foundry. To me, this looks more like short-term fear than a real change in the AI cycle.

Demand for advanced AI chips is still strong, and production capacity remains tight. NVDA is still in a strong position to benefit from the ongoing infrastructure buildout.

I see this as volatility, not a trend reversal. As long as the data and demand remain intact, I’m staying positioned and ignoring the noise.
