$Tesla(TSLA.US)$NVIDIA(NVDA.US)$Alphabet(GOOGL.US)After two rounds of drinking, I sobered up a bit. Just scrolled through TikTok and it's all about tariffs, but most of the content is subjective interpretations. Haven't seen anyone break it down thoroughly yet. Except for those in import/export trade, for us day traders in U.S. stocks, we still need to assess how much this will affect us.
I like to simplify things, just like how I often say when managing a company: strategy > organization > operations. The same goes for investing. What are the fundamental premises of investing in U.S. stocks?
1. The financial market with the highest global liquidity.
2. Home to the world's most outstanding companies across all sectors.
3. The U.S. dollar's dominant global position.
4. Wall Street's absolute pricing power in company valuations.
If you understand these four points, you won't overthink about buying at lows. Unless World War III breaks out, it's basically free money. Stop obsessing over whether there'll be short-term dips—it doesn't matter. Investing is long-term; short-term is just gambling.
Just look at the U.S. stock market's trajectory over the past decade, and you'll realize how meaningless short-term volatility and fear are.
To summarize:
1. Are you long-term bullish?
2. Did you get in at a cheap enough price?
3. Can you hold for at least a year?
4. Can you keep your position below 70%?
Reflect on these four points. If you can do them, your returns on Longbridge will eventually rank in the top 5%.
Finally, why am I so confident investing big in U.S. stocks? Not because I'm rich, but because I know I'll make even more.
I've been posting on Longbridge for almost four months. Lately, whether from fun or work fatigue, I'm genuinely tired. I really need to cut back on posting and rest properly. Don't just spectate—actually reflect, overcome fear and greed, trade rationally, and you'll be fine long-term. Keep it up!
