US continued attacking overnight as Trump says he is fed up and peace deal is over. WTI and oil prices spiked once more and chip stocks continue falling as the top has been priced in. Not a massive drop for now as people choose to rotate around from the highly volatile memory and AI sector to the more conversative and stable staple stocks.  

$Alphabet(GOOGL.US) Alphabet has been developing its TPUs, positioning them as competitive alternatives to Nvidia's graphics processors. Google's investment in TPUs aims to reduce AI computing costs by up to 30%, potentially transforming its data centers and impacting Nvidia's market share, which currently stands at 86%. The introduction of a neocloud business model enhances this threat, as Google plans to rent TPU capacity to other tech companies, challenging Nvidia's pricing power and profit margins. Many other tech companies are also looking to custom processors to make their AI models more efficient and reduce costs. SpaceX is building what some are calling a "sovereign AI" in which they own everything from the chip design and manufacturing to the AI model itself. @Captain's Treasure

Chips led the rebound last night as markets shrugged off macro risk despite early indications that inflation will come in hotter than expected with the Middle East situation continuing for another period. Local banks seem to have all the momentum as SG market outperforms majority of the Asia market in the past 10 days. Glad to have diversified into our own "boring" market too

$Alphabet(GOOGL.US) Google is experiencing significant stock decline, with shares of Alphabet down 7% due to rising AI concerns and the departure of key researchers to competitors. The company faced a talent exodus after Noam Shazeer's and John Jumper's exits, which raised worries about its AI capabilities amid heavy investments in the sector. Compounding the issue, Microsoft's CEO warned about the commoditization of the AI market, leading investors to question the sustainability of Google's AI spending. Was Berkshire's investment into Google a wrong decision? Definitely not. However, I do believe their entry was too high, going against Buffet's classical strategy of buying into companies at the right valuation. @Bridge Buzz SG

$Microsoft(MSFT.US) Investor enthusiasm has soured, driven by concerns over the sheer scale of Microsoft's AI spending. The company is pouring unprecedented sums into data centers, chips, and cloud infrastructure to support AI workloads, with capital expenditures running at levels that would have been almost unimaginable. While Azure and AI-related revenue continue to grow, investors have questioned when those investments will generate returns sufficient to justify the costs. As a result, the market narrative has shifted from excitement over AI opportunity to scrutiny of AI monetization, margins, free cash flow, and return on investment. $Amazon(AMZN.US) More than $460 billion in outstanding debt has been issued in recent years by six major companies in the AI race. AI debt is selling off sharply Tuesday as Amazon brings raises another $25 billion. Most of the weakness in hyperscaler bonds today reflects investors raising cash to participate in Amazon's new issue, not a change in the underlying credit story," said John Lloyd, global head of multisector credit at Janus Henderson. That said, investors are increasingly questioning how much additional debt the sector will need to fund AI-infrastructure spending over the coming years. Eventually, the more debt a company takes on, the more risk imit carries despite the long term potential. @Captain's Treasure

Oil spiked above $80/barrel as the war threat is back on. Bearish pressure looms with June CPI report coming out later as well. Now may be a good time to DCA into etfs or even look to start a position in a stock that you like at a more reasonable price following the pullback. However, I would still keep most of my cash ready for a further pullback when it comes later on. 

This week could be a volatile week with CPI on Tuesday and PPI on Wed. With Iran closing Strait of Hormuz again, precious metals continue to slide. I'll also be tuning in to Netflix's earnings on Friday morning to learn more on the past quarter's results as well as their ambitions and targets moving forward, particularly with their 2 times failed M&A in the first half of the year. 

US job reports cools, bringing down the probability of rate hike from 60% to 50%. Entering the 2nd half of 2026, I believe the market will be more choppy than ever, with potential to continue gaining but over several ups & downs. Memory stocks' valuation have dropped a little following sell off to a slightly more reasonable level. 

The market reacted positively as Trump announced that he has ended the war with Iran. However, Israel has come out saying that they are surprised and shocked that they are not involved in the peace making deal. Who's right and who's wrong? Regardless, even if this is one of another Trump's bluff, equities took a mini breather as stocks started climbing back slowly. Overall trend still looks shaky, and consolidation over the next few trading days is crucial to determine whether bulls or bears will take over. 

$SoFi Tech(SOFI.US) SoFi shares have surged as they expand their lending options with new small business loans and participation in the Trump Accounts program. The company, known for its diverse financial services, is trading above key moving averages, which indicates a near-term uptrend despite longer-term challenges. Analysts project SoFi's earnings per share will rise to 11 cents, with a revenue estimate of $1.11 billion, while recent ratings reflect mixed sentiments among investment firms. Despite recent strength, the share price remains a far distance from its highs. The upcoming earnings report would be crucial to determine the sentiment of investors and the direction of the company moving forward. @Bridge Buzz SG
